The First Jet Engineered Stove Top Espresso Machine

9Barista produces professional quality espresso by using a new, patented technology that sets it apart from all other espresso machines. At its heart is a unique twin-boiler system. One boiler sets the brewing pressure, while the second regulates the brewing temperature.

9Barista is beautifully simple - it has no electronics and only one moving part.

Small & Versitile

Small, compact and perfectly formed, 9Barista works on any cooker, from electric hobs including induction, to gas or Aga and even on a camping gas stove!

Professional Espresso

9Barista consistently produces perfect brewing conditions just like the large machines at your local café. The result? Exquisite espresso with a perfect crema.

Inherent Reliability

Constructed from solid brass and then nickel-plated, and with no electronics or moving parts (apart from a spring) 9Barista is engineered to last a lifetime.

Items included:

  • 9Barista espresso machine
  • 9Barista tamper
  • Heat transfer plate (for use on most gas, ceramic and electric cookers)
  • Getting started instructions
  • Spare safety ring and boiler o-ring

Materials - All materials in the 9Barista are FDA approved. There is no aluminium in the machine. It is made from brass, which is then nickel plated. The nickel plating is a food grade high phosphorus electroless nickel plating. It’s commonly used in the food processing industry, as it has excellent resistance to attack from acids.

Other materials used are silicone rubber, which is used for the thermal break and basket cap, PTFE, which is used for the valve pin, and PEI which is used for the group insulator. All are fully FDA approved.

PLEASE NOTE: The 9barista Induction Adapter Plate is required for use on induction stoves (sold separately).

Engineered Perfectly for great Espresso... I love it!

I love expresso. Fifteen years ago I bought an Italian expresso machine (Isomac) and am used to great coffee drinks. My wife and I are going on the road for a few years and there is no room in the vehicle for the machine. I bought this 9Barista Espresso Machine because looked small, well engineered and easy to use.... and so it is!! This little work of art pulls shots as good as or better than my full sized machine. It is easy to use, easy to clean and really, couldn't be better. I am totally impressed.

9Barista Espresso Machine

Absolutely amazing machine. It makes very consistent good tasting and looking espresso with lots of Crema. Despite being somewhat labour intensive it is all worth it and actually it is a nice ritual with a beautiful reward at the end.

9Barista Espresso Machine

A beautifully designed and advanced espresso machine that allows you to make a delicious and rich espresso with a rich crema without electricity. It's fascinating to watch how the espresso bubbles up. The only downside: for a second cup, you have to wait until the reservoir has cooled down sufficiently.

9BARISTA

This is an amazing gadget once you learn how to use it. It makes excellent espresso as long as the coffee grind is just right. It works best on a basic electric stove when you preheat the included plate for about a minute on level 4. Then put the pot on the plate, switch to level 5 for a minute, and then to level 6 for about 3 minutes, and the coffee will come up, then immediately switch to level 1-3. Otherwise, I couldn't get it to work, as I tried putting it directly on level 6, and it took 7-8 minutes, which is too long. The downside is that it's quite expensive compared to other European prices—at least from the videos I've watched, it costs around 330-380 euros, and it's still considered too expensive. But I like it a lot, so I don't mind. And comparing it to a robot and Flair 58, I definitely prefer using this.

The smoothest coffee ever

I waited a while for this device due to availability issues, but oh boy, absolutely perfect coffee to my taste with the right beans every single time. With this invention, I brew my coffee every single day and replaced my trusted Bialetti Brikka in the process. The crema produced by the machine is very rich and the mouthfeel is unbelievably smooth. Even my workplace's Jura doesn't seem to make as good crema, but that device competes in a completely different league.

The product is made of brass and it definitely shows. It weighs a few kilos and the quality feels and looks great. I could imagine taking it on a trip even despite the weight. Cleaning the machine is a bit laborious, but you get used to it.

When using a ceramic stove, the brewing tends to go over the recommended time easily (even over 6 minutes), so I warmly recommend the heating plate that comes with the product, which can reduce the brewing time by a minute or even a minute and a half at best. I also recommend the precision basket, as in my case at least, the holes are rough, one hole is blocked, and a few others are barely visible through. Despite this, the standard basket still produces a really good result.

This coffee maker is indeed a one-person product, as reloading it is a time-consuming task, although the end result is highly desirable. You can still brew for a friend, but making coffee for several people takes quite a bit of time, at least in my experience.

I would take half a star off the product if I could, mainly due to the slightly steep price. So let's go with four stars.

Quite doubtful!!

There are no markings for the fill level of either water or coffee?!
The valve at the bottom leaks so the water runs out during brewing and does not reach the cup area.

The product was faulty, got no help!!!
