The Finca San José coffee farm has been owned by the women of the Magaña family for four generations. The ecological awareness is high - they use no pesticides - and the farm has a variety of animals and plants. Here they grow red, yellow and red bourbon and really do everything to optimize its delicate character. The coffee trees grow under shade and all coffee is picked by hand when fully ripe.
This is a smoothly full-bodied coffee with peach sweetness and soft chocolate in character.

Customer reviews
Old coffee
Brewing espresso
Despite the best before date not being reached, the coffee was too old. The manufacturer has stated a shelf life of six months, and the coffee I received was over five months old. It completely lacked the qualities one expects from a single origin coffee. It was sour and one-dimensional. This is the first time this has happened to me.

Really smooth & chocolatey coffee
This coffee truly shines, especially thanks to the pre-infusion of the Ratio Six brewer. The flavor definitely matches the description. In my opinion, it's best suited for filter coffee. As an espresso, it might be too soft & bland. However, as a filter coffee, it is an excellent morning coffee & easy to drink. For cocoa lovers, it is indeed very 'cocoa-like.' I highly recommend trying it!
