The Chemex coffeemaker is an elegant, one-piece, hourglass shaped vessel made of high quality, heat resistant glass. The traditional model comes with a polished wood collar and leather tie. The collar serves as an insulated handle around the middle of the coffeemaker.

The Chemex coffeemaker, together with Chemex-Bonded Coffee Filter, makes perfect coffee. Clear, pure, flavorful and without bitterness or sediment every time. The coffee only comes in contact with the scientifically designed filter and non-porous glass. With the Chemex method, you can make coffee as strong as you like without bitterness. The handblown version of the Chemex is available in four different sizes and is rated to brew the following maximum amounts of coffee:

- 8 cups: about 1.2 liters
- 5 cups: about 0.75 liters
- 3 cups: about 0.45 liters

Worth the extra!
It really does hold heat better than my old standard Chemex... with the old one the second cuo always needed the microwave!

This beautiful, sturdy 8 cup coffeemaker arrived promptly, was securely packaged and protected. The websight was easy and enjoyable to use. This holds the heat incredibly well because of its thicker hand blown glass. It looks fabulous on my counter and makes the delicously pure anticipated coffee for myself or several folks. It is easy to clean with a foam-head brush that compresses for entry and expands on exit. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

Täydellinen koko 1-2 henkilölle. Hyvin käsiteltävä yhdellä kädellä, ja altaassa sopii pesemään hyvin - molemmat asioita jotka ymmärsin vasta hetken käytettyäni. Isommalla näin ei ehkä olisi. Kuuleman mukaan suupuhalletussa mallissa saattaisi myös pysyä hieman pidempään lämpimänä. Tämä oli ensikokemus pour over kahvin valmistuksesta, ja olenkin nyt tehnyt enimmäkseen suodatinkahvia espresson sijaan. Erinomaista kahvia, uskon että suuri merkitys on Chemexin omilla suodattimilla.
