Ethiopia Sidamo is like the dark, warm nights of Africa in your coffee cup.

The coffee from Ethiopia has always been a favorite among us at Crema. We roast this single origin coffee from Sidamo slightly lighter. Thus the rich and smooth flavor is complemented with a high citrus fruity juicyness. We recommend the coffee for French Press, coffee maker and other similar coffee making equipment.

Excellent also as cold brew coffee!

Quite OK

Quite OK. I preferred this coffee more with Hario V60 than with Chemex.

Trusted product for hand filtering

Ethiopia Sidamo has long been my favorite coffee for hand filtering due to its value for money. It has a nice, smooth taste with enough nuances.

Crema Ethiopia Sidamo 1 kg Coffee Beans

I have liked this coffee. Last time the package almost didn't arrive without clarification, and this time it came ground instead of beans. I might not order again.

Weekend mornings are the best

After tasting this from the three-pack sampler, I got hooked. Wonderful.

A good basic product for a fan of Ethiopian coffee

Otherwise good, but the roast level was significantly different when I bought it again. Now I found a clear berry-like taste, which I expected from Ethiopian coffee, but the previous time, the dark roast seemed to overshadow it.

Compost material

Perhaps it was a bad batch. The taste is bitter and bad, I'm not an expert so I can't use the right terms. But the taste is downright terrible whether made with a Moccamaster or an Aeropress. I've tried with different grind sizes, temperatures, and brewing times but nothing works. Several supermarket bargain coffees, already ground, surpass this compost material 6-0. Can't offer this to guests, but since it's very expensive, I have to try to gulp it down while gritting my teeth. A pointless purchase.

Reliable coffee

Deliciously fruity and smooth, an easy coffee for coffee lovers to enjoy on weekday mornings. After one cup, your hand already reaches for a second cup. Excellent coffee.

Strong dark roast

Very tasty, fine aromatic and strong

Too light a roast

Too light for my taste, and it didn't really work well in cold brew, but since there are as many tastes as there are... I can imagine it being just fine for a fan of lighter roasts - it did have various flavor nuances. Definitely not Juhla Mokka ;)

Did not meet expectations

I am looking for a coffee that is fully aromatic, where all taste buds get their share. I have achieved this with another Ethiopia Sidamo. But not this one. At least not in a fully automatic coffee machine. It turns out very bland.

Too light roast for me

Only a couple of cups as a trial so far, but it seems too lightly roasted for me. I was a bit disappointed after reading other customers' comments. Let's see if I can somehow get a bit more kick from it.

Mild and tasty

First Ethiopian coffee I've ground and brewed. Grinding is done with a Kinu M47 grinder in its original design and brewing with a V60 or moka pot. Plus for multiple packaging sizes and choice of grind size, minus for non-resealable packaging (had to use small metal clips).

Enjoyable, smooth, aromatic coffee. Highly recommended!

Tasty and unique

It's fun with a tangy light roast that provides a different taste experience compared to "traditional brewed coffee." It requires a pretty fine grind to achieve a sufficiently good extraction. My wife disliked it, but she only drinks the darkest roasts.

Excellent also for drip coffee makers

Nice fruity and complex flavor. Smooth yet robust. Very good general-purpose coffee. Tried: In a Jura machine both as filter coffee and espresso as well as in a regular drip coffee maker, and it always works.

Fine and pleasant aftertaste.

A change from Crema's Brazil blend

This and Crema goes Brazil are really good medium roasts, as I used to only drink dark roasts. More acidity than in, for example, Crema's Indian Monsoon or Royal blends, which I used to drink by the kilo. Really good 5/5 no complaints. Occasionally I've tried others like Lykke, etc., but Crema's coffees always bring me back.

A little too bitter

For an Ethiopia coffee it misses sweetness, acidity, fruitiness and flavour in general. But I'm not complaining. For the price it's a great coffee and I'll buy again for sure. Maybe a slightly lighter roast would help. Too bad shipping cost are high for Portugal.

For many tastes

I occasionally buy it when I want a change from darker coffees.
