Zassenhaus Aachen is a stylish pepper mill made of clear acryl. This high quality Zassenhaus grinder is manufactured in Germany and comes equipped with a precise ceramic grinding unit. The grinding can be adjusted steplessly from fine to coarse. The grinding unit has a 25 year warranty, so it is designed to be durable. The grinding unit is designed especially for pepper and salt, but you can also grind other dried spices and herbs.
Three different sizes available - 14 cm, 18 cm and 24 cm. The Aachen model is also available as a salt mill.

Overall a high-quality mill, might as well get a similar one for salt too. The adjustment works even when full, from coarse to fine, as long as you give the mill a little spin from time to time. So, no need to empty the mill just because of the adjustment.

The adjustment at the bottom should be set when the mill is empty. When the mill is full, the adjustment works only from finer to coarser, which is completely understandable. The ceramic mechanism is durable and has a 25-year warranty.

The product seems to have been changed, as in the previous version (the 24 cm one which we received as a gift) the mill was at the top, and when used was turned upside down -> no pepper residue would fall on the table/shelf. It was more convenient and neater. The mill is still good!
